Separation Anxiety

If his owners go into the back yard where Teddy is not allowed to go, he will become anxious and try to rip out window screens or open doors to rejoin them.

In the event of a Teddy separation freak out, complete the following steps.

1. Ensure all doors are secured and latched behind you. If the door has glass, leave the door open. Sitting by the door and directly looking out into the yard sometimes negates the need for further steps.

2. Close all windows, or leave window open no more than 6 inches.

3. Maintain a clear line of site between Teddy and the area of the yard where you are working at all times.
